Last weekend was a historic day for our team which it being the first playing as Rodborough Ladies, competing at the annual Dursley Town Tournament. A big test against some strong and experienced sides.

The day started brightly with a victory against local side Stonehouse. A side similarly starting this coming season as a womens team and a great sign for us going forwards.

Next up was eventual tournament winners City of Glos and the game saw us come out with a narrow defeat by a single goal.

Similar results against Winchcombe and Kingswood saw us finish the group and through to the quater finals where we played Dursley Town.

Unfortunately another close game but a one goal defeat saw us finish the day. Loads of positives though, facing teams from higher divisions and also playing other experienced sides and players.

Something that will hopefully stand us in good sted for next season. Our first in a womens league.
