Over the past weekend we payed tribute to Amelie Zeal who passed away in July after a brave battle with cancer.
Amelie was a sports enthusiast playing different sports, athletics and was a member of our under 18 Lionesses team. And with her passing brought the idea to remember her with a minutes silence or applause before matches.
We were heartened to see not only our own Rodborough teams paying tribute but the football community nationwide. Amelie's story was shared across social media with photos rolling in from teams across the country paying tribute to her life and paying their respects. It's was amazing to see this and it was obvious her story and life touched not only those who knew her but people everywhere.
Thankyou to those who shared, organised and interacted with her story online and at matches this weekend. We are thankful and touched byt the response.
