Match report:
On Sunday our under 18 Lionesses went up against league leaders Lydney Town. To make things even more difficult, Lydney were unbeaten and looking like a force.
The game started with Lydney pressure and the Rodborough back line under pressure. The girls stood strong though and managed to start creating chances for themselves. That effort was rewarded with Rodborough taking the lead and holding it until half time.
The girls came out for the second half and continued that impetus going forwards and scoring three more goals, two for Jemma Barron. Superb passing and ball control on show, creating chances and scoring goals. The defenders were also on form and managed to limit Lydney to just a single goal.
What a brilliant win and a strong start to 2026 for the girls.
