It felt like winter had arrived as Rodborough travelled to Oldends Lane to play Stonehouse.

Stonehouse started brightly with lots of possession but were unable to score. Bradley H, who was a commanding presence in goal, provided clear direction to defenders Jack D and Alfie H. When in possession Rodborough linked up well. The breakthrough came when Sam TS chased a long ball up the pitch before crossing back to Lucas K in the Stonehouse goal area, who then buried the ball in the net. Further chances fell to both teams with Joe S in particular working hard on the left wing. Stonehouse got their equaliser after Rodborough failed to clear the ball from their goal area. They then got a second from a free kick a little before half time after a late challenge brought down one of their player just outside the goal area. 2-1 to Stonehouse at half time.

In the second half Rodborough took charge. There was good communication particularly between Lucas K and Brenden W in attack and Jack D and Barnaby F in defence. Rodborough had a number of chances before Lucas K went on a blistering run up the left wing and chipped the Stonehouse keeper from a tight angle. Stonehouse in turn had some opportunities however either the defenders, particularly Oscar S, soaked up the pressure, or else were restricted to shooting from distance which Sam TS in goal easily dealt with. Rodborough looked the more likely to get the winner in the closing 10 minutes, but the match finished 2-2.

This was a good result for the lads, many of whom had spells playing in positions different to normal. Player of the match goes to Lucas K for communicating well, making lots of good passes and, of course, getting Rodborough's 2 goals.
